I get several emails every week from many of my web visitors that want to make the move to the Philippines. Many are ready to retire and have enough retirement pension to make the move. 3/15/08 UPDATE Going Back Home To Camotes Due To Illness
Judith and I will be going home to Camotes at the end of this month. We are leaving S. Korea and our teaching contract three months early. We fully intended to remain in S. Korea until the end of the contract. However, I have just been diagnosed with lung Cancer. I have not been feeling well for the last few weeks and thought I just had a bad flu. I went to see my Korean Doctor last week and he admitted me to a local Hospital for a few days. while there several tests were done and they were able to confirm I have lung cancer. It's certainly not a happy story and I don't want to think of how this story will end. I am looking at this as just another adventure and trying to remain as positive about the situation as I can. I will seek out Cancer treatment in Cebu City and hope the cancer has not spread too far. I have already contacted a couple of the Cebu hospitals and they have been very good answering my questions.
I will continue to maintain the site and for those of you that have hired my services to help build your web site, fear not. I will continue to work for you. I will always try to answer all your emails in regards to questions and comments about Cebu. Actually, I need to work more now than ever before on the web site to generate income so I can pay for my medical cost. So, please if you need my services please contact me. I'm not too proud to say that I need the money.

Philippine Marriage and Age difference
I am on the web nearly everyday as I work on this web site and I like to see what other Philippine related sites, blogs and forums have to say about anything to do with the Philippines. As I read different sites, blogs and forums I always see an article about old western men and young Filipinas being together or married. The usual statement in these article boil down to the following: The poor girl had to marry the old man, She is just a trophy for the old man, It makes me sick to see it, Cradle robber, loser, Dirty old man, pervert, gold digger, whore and scammer and a vast array of other off the wall comments. Obviously Im biased as I am married to a Filipina and I am 27 years older than my wife. So as I write this article I will attempt to be objective.
